Our Team

David Faranetta

CEO

David brings over 30 years of financial and operational experience to M&G Financial. David earned significant shareholder value as CFO of companies such as TXU Energy, Stream Gas and Electric and Energy Harbor. At these companies, he led merger and acquisition strategies and achieved tactical goals in public and private settings. At M&G Financial, David seeks to develop strong relationships with clients by utilizing his skills and leveraging M&G’s capabilities to achieve our clients’ financial goals.

David earned a B.A. in economics from Moravian University and an MBA from Lehigh University. He attended the Reactor Technology for Utility Executives course at Massachusetts Institute of Technology sponsored by the Institute of Nuclear Power Operations.

Luke Mackie

Partner

Luke Mackie is a founding member of M&G Financial and has been professionally involved in accounting and finance roles for 8 years, which includes working in the capacity of a CFO for over 5 companies. As a partner, Luke works directly with clients to maximize value from services provided and assists with the development and execution of M&G’s corporate strategy.

Mr. Mackie graduated Cum Laude from the University of Texas at Dallas with a B.S. in Finance.

James Gladue

Partner

As a founding member of M&G Financial, James Gladue brings over eight years of expertise to the team, serving as a pivotal leader in both operations and client relations. His strategic insight and hands-on approach have been instrumental in driving the firm’s growth and expanding its reach. James has successfully provided fractional CFO services to more than 20 companies, delivering tailored financial strategies that foster stability and long-term success.

Mr. Gladue holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Campbell University, a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Eastern Connecticut State University, and has earned his Certified Public Accountant designation. His leadership, client-focused mindset, and commitment to excellence continue to shape the success and reputation of M&G Financial.

I worked closely with the M&G team over the span of 3+ years. They managed the finance and accounting function of a [$40MM revenue] company in which our fund was an investor. They were responsible for all aspects of the company’s FP&A, including monthly financial and covenant reporting and MD&A, preparation of the annual budget, cash forecasting and management, lender and investor relations and management of the company’s AP/AR functions.
